IMPORTANT INFORMATION

FOR USE ONLY AS AN AGRICULTURAL HERBICIDE

Crops: Wheat

Maximum individual dose:1.2 litres product per hectare

Maximum number of applications: 1 per crop

Latest time of application: Up to and including ag leaf ligule just visible (GS39)

Other specific restrictions: To avoid the build up of resistance do not apply products containing an ACCase inhibitor herbicide more than twice to any crop. In addition, do not use this product in mixture or sequence with any other product containing fenoxaprop-P-ethyl.

READ THE LABEL BEFORE USE. USING THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER THAT ISINCONSISTENT WITH THE LABEL MAY BE AN OFFENCE. FOLLOW THE CODE OFPRACTICE FOR USING PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

RESTRICTIONS

DO NOT apply GONGCAOQI to barley, durum wheat, under sown crops or those to be under sown.

DO NOT apply GONGCAOQI to wheat beyond the flag leaf ligule visible stage (GS 39) of the crop.

DO NOT roll or harrow within one week of spraying.

DO NOT spray crops under stress, suffering drought, waterlogged, grazed, lacking nutrients or if soil is compacted.

GONGCAOQI can be sprayed in frosty weather provided the crop has hardened off.

DO NOT spray wet foliage liable to run off or leaves covered in ice.

Avoid spraying immediately before or after a sudden or extended drop in temperature or a period of warm days/cold nights.

Dry conditions resulting in moisture stress may reduce effectiveness. Such conditions will tend to occur with late applications to spring crops.

Store in a safe dry place designated as an agrochemical store

PROTECT FROM FROST

HERBICIDE RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT

This product contains Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl which is an ACCase inhibitor, also classified by the Herbicide Resistance Action Committee as 'Group A'. Use only as part of a resistance management strategy that includes cultural methods of control and does not use ACCase inhibitors as the sole chemical method of grass-weed control.

Applying a second product containing an ACCase inhibitor to a crop will increase the risk of resistance development; only use a second ACCase inhibitor to control different weeds at a different timing.

Strains of some annual grasses (e.g. black-grass, wild oats and Italian rye-grass) have developed resistance to herbicides which may lead to poor control. A strategy for preventing and managing such resistance should be adopted. Guidelines have been produced by the Weed Resistance Action Group and copies are available from the HGCA, CPA, your distributor, crop adviser or product manufacturer.

To reduce the risk of developing resistance, applications should be made to young, actively growing weeds.

Use crop rotation and other cultural control measures to prevent and manage herbicide resistant grass weeds.

Apply when the majority of wild-oats have emerged and if possible avoid late applications – Beyond tillering and into the stem extension phase of wild oats.

WEEDS CONTROLLED

GONGCAOQI controls emerged weeds on all soils and tilths and is unaffected by high organic matter or high Kd factor (ie soils with a high adsorptive capacity).

The rates of use of GONGCAOQI depend on weed type, size and time of application.

Apply post-emergence for the control of emerged weeds from the 2 fully expanded leaf stage of the weed up to the weed growth stage stated below:

Weed

Post-emergence control at 0.8 L/ha up to:

Post-emergence control at 1.0 L/ha up to:

Post-emergence control at 1.2 L/ha up to:

Awned canary-grass

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Winter wheat and spring wheat

Apply GONGCAOQI from emergence of the crop up to and including flag leaf ligule just visible (GS39).

GONGCAOQI is rain fast from one hour after spraying.

Broadcast crops should be sprayed post-emergence after the plants have a well-established root system.

FOLLOWING CROPS and CROP FAILURE

In the event of crop failure, any broad-leaved crop may be sown, or after an interval of 3 weeks, any cereal may be sown. Following normal harvest of a treated crop, any broad-leaved or cereal crop may be sown.

MIXING AND SPRAYING

For optimal results, use application techniques which ensure good weed coverage and crop penetration, using flat fan nozzles.

Conventional Volume

Volume: 200-300 litres of water per hectare

Always use the higher volume when weeds or crop are dense to avoid shading of the weed.

Pressure: 2.5-3.0 bars

Spray Quality: FINE TO MEDIUM (BCPC category)

Low volume

Volume: 100 litres of water per hectare

Pressure: 2.5 bars

Spray Quality: FINE to MEDIUM (BCPC category)

GONGCAOQI may be applied at low volume providing conditions are optimal and all other recommendations are adhered to. Low volume can be used up to the early tillering stage of the crop (GS 23) after which growth may restrict spray penetration and conventional volumes should be used. Low volume is not advised where weed populations are dense.

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.

Add the recommended quantity of GONGCAOQI to the spray tank half-filled with the required quantity of clean water. Add the remainder of the water with the sprayer agitation system in operation. When emptying containers, wash out and add washings to the sprayer. Agitate before and during spraying. Do not leave the sprayer standing with chemical in it. After spraying, thoroughly wash out the spray tank.

COMPATIBILITY

DO NOT mix GONGCAOQI with herbicides containing hormones or bifenox.

READ THE LABEL BEFORE USE. USING THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER THAT IS INCONSISTENT WITH THE LABEL MAY BE AN OFFENCE. FOLLOW THE CODE OF PRACTICE FOR USING PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS.
