Classification Of Herbicides

Classification according to action mode

(1) Selective herbicide: herbicides have different degrees of resistance to different kinds of seedlings. This herbicide can kill weeds and is harmless to seedlings. Such as gaicaenong, fluroline, prometryne, simazine, gol herbicide, etc.

(2) Herbicide: herbicide is toxic to all plants. As long as it touches the green part, regardless of seedlings and weeds, it will suffer or be killed. It is mainly used before sowing, before emergence after sowing and on the main and auxiliary roads of nursery. Such as glyphosate.

Classification according to the movement of herbicides in plants

(1) Contact herbicide: when the herbicide is in contact with the weed, only the part in contact with the herbicide will be killed, which plays a local killing role, and the plant body cannot conduct. Only the overground part of weeds can be killed, but the effect on the underground part of weeds or perennial deep root weeds with underground stems is poor. Such as weeding ether, paraquat, etc.

(2) Internal absorption and conduction herbicide: after the herbicide is absorbed by the root system or leaf, bud sheath or stem, it is transmitted to the plant body, causing the plant to die. Such as glyphosate, prometryne, etc.

(3) Integrated herbicide of inhaling conduction and contact killing: it has double functions of inhaling conduction and contact killing, such as herbicide chlorpromazine, etc.

Classification according to chemical structure

(1) Inorganic compound herbicide: it is composed of natural mineral raw materials and contains no carbon compounds, such as potassium chlorate, copper sulfate, etc.

(2) Herbicide of organic compound: it is mainly synthesized by benzene, alcohol, fatty acid, organic amine and other organic compounds. For example, ether - gol, mesitylene - prometryne, substituted urea - herbicide No. 1, phenoxyacetic acid - dimethyl4chlor, pyridine - gaicaenon, dinitroaniline - fluroling, amide - Lasso, organic phosphorus - glyphosate, phenol - pentachlorophenol sodium, etc.

Classification by usage

(1) Stem and leaf treatment agent: the herbicide solution is mixed with water and evenly sprayed on the plant with small droplets. The herbicide used in this spraying method is called stem and leaf treatment agent, such as caergen, glyphosate, etc.

(2) soil treatment agent: spray the herbicide evenly onto the soil to form a certain thickness of the drug layer. When the weeds buds, seedlings and their roots are absorbed by the plants, the herbicide is called the soil treatment agent, such as Sima, pomojing and flemlol.

(3) Stem leaf and soil treatment agent: it can be used for stem leaf treatment or soil treatment, such as atrazine, etc.
