DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
DOU HA LE is a selective post-emergence herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds and sedge weeds in soybean. It is combination of bentazone and fomesafen. As a foliar herbicide, good coverage is essential. Application should be made to fully exposed weeds, prior to flowering. Best results will be achieved when application is made to actively growing weeds.
MIXING
Add the required amount of DOU HA LE to clean water in the sprayer. Ensure thorough mixing before spraying and use immediately.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Harmful if swallowed.
Will damage eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. If product in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use.
Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
When opening the container, preparing the spray and using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield or goggles.
After each day's use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing.
SPRAY EQUIPMENT PREPARATION
Spray equipment must be clean and free of deposits before using DOU HA LE. Deposits in spray equipment can trap DOU HA LE and inhibit cleanup of the spray equipment after use.
Therefore, before spraying DOU HA LE, clean the equipment according to the cleanup procedures specified on the label of the product previously sprayed. After completing this cleanup procedure, clean the spray equipment, loading hoses, batch tanks, and any other equipment that will be exposed to DOU HA LE according to the following procedures.
1. Steam-clean the tanks using a non-chlorine-based detergent, taking care to remove all physical residues.
2. Thoroughly rinse the sprayer, tanks, boom, and hoses with clean water. Be sure that the rinse water is free of sediment and agricultural chemicals.
3. Fill the tank one-half full with clean water and add "Nutra-sol" at 32 oz. per 100 gals. of water. Fill the tank to capacity with clean water. Flush the boom and hoses and agitate (and recirculate, if possible) the sprayer for 15 minutes. Drain the equipment, taking care to flush the nozzles and hoses thoroughly.
4. Remove the nozzles, screens, and strainers and clean them separately.
5. Thoroughly rinse the sprayer, tanks, boom, nozzles, and hoses with clean water to remove "Nutra-sol".
6. Follow the label directions of the product previously sprayed for proper rinsate disposal.
WATER MANAGEMENT
DOU HA LE is a foliar contact herbicide and therefore thorough coverage of the foliage is essential. Hence it is necessary to lower water levels to expose all weeds and soil surface. Submerged weeds will not be controlled. Floodwater can be re-applied 8 hours after application.
After application of DOU HA LE Herbicide, do not drain rice water into regional drains for 21 days or for the period set by the local irrigation or environment authority, whichever is the greater.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should NOT be burnt.
