DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this

section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

RESTRICTIONS:

1. Do not treat with YU SHU once a soil insecticide based on an organophosphate has been applied.

2. Do not mix with foliar or liquid fertilisers.

3. YU SHU can be used post-emergence at the recommended rate to directly target specific weed species. Choose the correct dose for the weeds present. As part of a weed resistance management plan YU SHU must be used in sequence with herbicides with other modes of action that are active against the same weeds, particularly in continuous maize.

4. How to best use this product, your local technical representative should be contacted.

5. Under certain conditions, some transient yellowing and/or crop stunting and/or loss of vigour can be seen from 1 to 2 weeks after treatment (2-8 leaves of maize). This is quickly outgrown and no yield effect has been shown.

6. Some flower deformation may be seen on particularly sensitive varieties e.g. Rival.

7. Applications should not be made to maize crops that are under stress, as this may lead to incidences of more persistent crop damage, such as loss of vigour, particularly when poorer growing conditions follow treatment. This may cause loss of yield. Take care to ensure that products are evenly applied at the recommended dose to a healthy crop.

8. Due to its high level of activity, care must be taken to avoid damage by spray drift onto plants outside the target area.

MIXING

Prior to mixing YU SHU, thoroughly rinse sprayer, tank, booms, hoses, and nozzles with water. Shake container well before pouring. Pour YU SHU into the spray tank half filled with water, and add the remainder of the water while agitating. If adding other post-emergence herbicides, add after YU SHU is thoroughly mixed in the half filled tank. Apply the spray mix within 24 hours of mixing.

Environmental Protection

To protect aquatic organisms respect an unsprayed buffer zone distance to surface water bodies in line with LERAP requirements.

DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT SPRAY from horizontal boom sprayers to fall within 5m of the top of the bank of a static or flowing water body, unless a Local Environment Risk Assessment for Pesticides (LERAP) permits a narrower buffer zone, or within 1 m of the top of a ditch which is dry at the time of application.

DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT SPRAY from hand-held sprayers to fall within 1m of the top of the bank of a static or flowing waterbody. Aim spray away from water.

This product qualifies for inclusion within the Local Environment Risk Assessment for Pesticides (LERAP) scheme. Before each spraying operation from a horizontal boom sprayer, either a LERAP must be carried out in accordance with CRD's published guidance or the statutory buffer zone must be observed. The results of the LERAP must be recorded and kept available for inspection for three years.

Do not contaminate water with the product or its container. Do not clean application equipment near surface water. Avoid contamination via drains from farmyards and roads.

Extreme care must be taken to avoid spray drift onto non-crop plants outside of the target area.
