DANGER

Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where reasonably practicable in addition to the following personal protective equipment:

WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS), SUITABLE PROTECTIVE

GLOVES AND FACE PROTECTION (FACESHIELD) when handling the concentrate. WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) AND SUITABLE

PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling contaminated surfaces.

WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) when applying by

vehicle-mounted equipment.

WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (IMPERMEABLE COVERALLS) AND

SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES when applying by hand-held equipment. AVOID ALL CONTACT WITH SKIN AND EYES.

WASH ANY CONTAMINATION from skin or eyes immediately. WHEN USING DO NOT EAT, DRINK OR SMOKE.

WASH HANDS before meals and after work.

FIRST AID MEASURES

General advice

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely. Inhalation (spray)

If inhaled remove victim to fresh air. Apply resuscitation if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. If poisoning has occurred, administer atropine tablets as below. Remove contaminated clothing and loosen remaining clothing.

Allow patient to assume most comfortable position and keep warm. Seek immediate medical attention.

Ingestion

Induce vomiting using Ipecac Syrup APF and give one atropine tablet every five minutes until dryness of the mouth occurs. Do not give fluids or induce vomiting if victim is convulsing or unconscious. Seek immediate medical attention.

Eye contact

If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Do not try to remove contact lenses. Seek immediate medical attention.

Skin contact

If skin or hair contact occurs, immediately remove contaminated clothing and wash skin and hair with running water for at least 15minutes. If symptoms of poisoning occur, administer atropine tablets as above. Seek immediate medical attention.

Launder protective clothing before storage or re-use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

General Information

This product should be apply in the peak of Chilo suppressal is one and two instar larvae or egg incubation, pay attention to spray evenly. For application by aircraft apply in 40-60L water per hectare, spray evenly on rice plants. Do not spray in windy days or expected within 1 hours of rainfall.

MIXING

Pour the correct amount of Chlorpyrifos 45% EC into the partly filled spray tank. Agitate and add the remainder of the water.

STOREAGE AND DISPOSAL

STORAGE

Do not store near heat or flame. Store in original container, tightly closed, in a locked, dry, cool area, away from sources of ignition and food stuffs. Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals. Do not store with Class 1, 2, 3.2, 4 or 5 substances. Stores containing 100 litres of Chlorpyrifos 45% EC require signage and secondary containment, and more than 100 litres require emergency response plans.

Stores containing more than 500 litres of Chlorpyrifos 45% EC require2 fire extinguishers. DISPOSAL

Triple rinse empty container and add rinsate to the spray tank. Recycle empty container. Otherwise crush and bury in a suitable landfill.

Dispose of product only by using according to the label, or at an approved landfill.

SOIL AND CLIMATE

1. The product is active in moist soil conditions and persists throughout most of the season (at least 4-6 months).

2. Apply as a band spray to the open furrow at planting. Spray the entire furrow tilth using a nozzle located directly behind the seed tube. Ensure all spray is directed into the furrow contacting bottom, sides and all soil drawn in to the furrow at closure. Use a minimum of 20 L of water/ha. Use the higher rate under extreme population numbers.

3. Do not cultivate soil after treatment.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD

Pasture, fodder crops - 7 days. Grapes, maize, avocados - 14 days. Cereals for harvest - 8 weeks. Kiwifruit - Do not apply after bud cracking (first visible petals). Squash - 10 days.
